In loving memory of Paul - Large(r than life) - Hotchkis
Story
have created this page in memory of Dad, Paul, Hot Lips, Large, Chat (a lot). A very special person to us all.
Mum and dad were very lucky to have been looked after and cared for by the wonderful staff at St Vincent's Hospital, however, I was overwhelmed by the additional pain that would otherwise be endured by those who could not afford such care. Whilst mum and dad worked hard to ensure this was possible, many are unable to do this.
Many of you will have travelled to see mum and dad and / or others have kindly already sent flowers to show your support. This is by no means an additional request, simply another option to make a difference in lieu of sending mum flowers... I know dad and mum appreciate any form of your support.
If you can, please remember Dad by supporting the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) as they fund vital cancer research in Australia. Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to ACRF. Thank you.
Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF)
At Australian Cancer Research Foundation, we know that only brilliant ideas can tackle something as big as cancer. That is why since 1984, we have given scientists the technology, equipment and infrastructure they need for pioneering research. From small vaccines to big machines our funding has supported some of the biggest outcomes in cancer research, across Australia.
Over the last 40 years, we have invested $184 million into 86 cancer research projects across 44 institutions.
ACRF supporters have backed landmark projects such as; the development of the world’s first cancer vaccine (for cervical cancer), the establishment of a precision medicine program working towards the goal of zero deaths from childhood cancer and the creation of the innovative MRI-Linac which will improve patient outcomes and reduce the trauma associated with radiation therapy. By funding research that seeks to progress and transform the way we prevent, detect and treat ALL cancers, we are committed to our vision of one day reaching a world without cancer.
